We had both Leslie and Sally as our realtors. As individuals they were nice/warm people and were quick to answer any of our texts, calls, or emails. However, we felt taken advantage of as first time home buyers. The first home we were thinking about putting an offer on turned out to be a modular home. The only way we found out was because we asked; this should have been disclosed before we toured it. They stated “they could not confirm” if it was or not. Turns out it was their own listing so that would mean more $$ for them. A second home was strongly encouraged to us however it was a total renovation. We stated we wanted minimal renos so not sure why that one was suggested to us. For the last home we put an offer on, it was mentioned to us during our second viewing that the seller was not covering .5% of their commission and it was our responsibility. This felt very sneaky since it was mentioned after we stated we wanted to make an offer. It was definitely a back and forth debate between all of us. This should been disclosed to us before viewing the home for the first time. Our family members kept telling us to move on but we stuck it out. We ended up using another realty group and found our perfect home with a realtor who was honest, real, and ate any differences in commission to make us (the buyers) happy with our purchase.
